Also known simply as the Rising Sun, this is the given title of the family that is quite... bright, both in intellect and in a literal sense. It is based around the crazed scientist that specializes in technology and chemistry, the latter of which is what caused him to be in such a state.

They rival two particular members of the Sovereign Shift.

Dr. Sunshine

Occupation: Mechanical and Biological Engineer

A mad scientist that essentially lives two lives, one where he used to be called Sunnyside (and before that, Mr. Cotard), and the Sunshine you know. The former is his past, and the latter is really the only one you see at this point, formed because the maniac wanted to forget something, or... someone.

Sunshine is also a Carcinomorph Havenite. It's what gives him that warmth and subtle glow... and apparently the ability to breath fire!

Dr. Amnesia

Occupation: Psychologist

A doctor that also studied through the same "university" as Sunshine, under a different field of study. Whether it was because of innate magic or otherwise, she was the top of her classes. It did however have some side effects for other people, especially for Sunshine.

A part of the Paper Lineage as one of the descendants.

Romero and Julio Montaulet

Occupation: Assistant

For whatever reason between the time of the breakup and the complete creation of Sunshine, the scientist did work at a different facility for a time. A fungi-related incident occurred with two different species, affecting two different coworkers which led to them falling apart like a broken toy.

Sunshine decided to scoop them up and turn two into one. As it turns out, the fungi had a symbiotic relationship.

Sonar Sunshine

Occupation: Part-Time Courier, Biological Engineer

Created sometime after Sunshine took on more control. There wasn't a reason for Sonar's creation, but it can be assumed that he wanted an apprentice... or was really just that loney.

Though he likes delivering mail, his focus was keeping up with the legacy of the Rising Sun, leading him to become a "scientist".

Professor Oozzie

Occupation: (unknown)

Creation and son of Sonar in the far future. He tends to time travel frequently and help out Sunshine when he was still a student. Despite these kinds of interactions risking alteration in the present and future, his actions were relatively harmless.

The Order still has a watchful eye on him in case things go south.

Ra

A strange raptor-like creature, partly made of light. The only one who would likely know how it was created is Mr. Capgras.

Given as a pet by him to Sunshine.
