Denovo, unlike Arkadia, seems to have its own little quirk. It could even apply to the general multiverse of Elisyum because of the type of things the Ministry focuses on.
The ideas of law and justice are a lot more prevalent, and that in turn gives way to more attorneys, judges, and more who wish to protect these beliefs. Yet, it also seems that people are willing to ignore them and take major risks.
Lawbirds are a nickname given to the people who do their business in the courtrooms.

Just Artemis
Occupation: Defense Attorney
One of two owners of Artemis and Wayland Law Offices. Outside of work, she lives a rather unique life style in that she managed to tame a pack of Nighthaunters with one being further trained into being a service animal.
Always referred to as Artemis, no exceptions. Look at her name for crying out loud!
Romeo Wayland
Occupation: Defense Attorney
The second owner of the Law Offices. Pretty much someone you can rely on to defend your case! A great role model overall.
Has a bit of a rivalry... and crush... with Akusotore. He's usually seen trying to warm up to him as he can tell the situation the prosecutor is in.
Lazarus Akusotore
Occupation: Prosecution Attorney
Raised in a incredibly strict with a divorced father that is a part of a long line of prosecutors. It has gotten to the point where Aku went fully grey; a case that is almost never seen outside of soldiers and veterans alike. He chose to endure it because of the family's wealth.
Knows Wayland has a crush but hasn't been in the state to reciprocate... until after the case where he was framed for murder of his other father.
Captain "Black" Jack Corvallis
Occupation: Prosecution Attorney
A former navy captain. When he was promoted, he started noticing things he hadn't when he was a commander. Notably, it was with a certain admiral that he works under; he witnessed the manipulation, the loopholes, and the things they ordered and decided that it was time to do something about it. He mutinied against them, and went further on to take them into the courts, where the captain had the last laugh.
He continued the path of the prosecutor, refusing the risk that may stem from being a higher rank. His title of "Black" was originally from the mutiny, but now it mostly means by the straightforwardness he shows.
Knows how to relax, don't worry.
Ace Attorney Ver. Description
While it follows almost the same thing, the big change is that his origin is established.
Coming from the Hawaiian island of Maui, he decided it was time to join the navy because of his love of the sea. He would then move to California in order to study law, which in turn will result in an admiral's defeat. Still is able to surf despite his condition, and always tries to return to Hawaii whenever he can.
Honorable Judge Gavill
Occupation: Courtroom Judge
A Half-Stoyk that rules over a very well-known courtroom. Emotions are a bit more amplified because of his nature, but usually it comes in the form of frustration when the jury won't shut it.
As always, has connections with the Ministry if he suspects something within a case.
